- Arrive on time and dress professionally.

It is best to arrive 10 minutes early and dress business casual for an interview.
- Mention your interest in becoming a medical assistant during the interview.

Sharing why you want to become a medical assistant will show the interviewers your dedication and passion.
- Be prepared to speak about your academic and professional development.

Speaking about achievements on and not on your resume is key during the interview.
- Maintain eye contact with all members of the interview panel while speaking.

Eye contact is key to keeping the interviewers engaged and invested in what you are saying.
- Be prepared to answer situational questions.

Questions such as ‘Tell me about a time when…,’ give interviewers real-world insight into your strengths. Make sure to practice different types of situational questions.
- Come prepared with 1-2 questions that you have for the interviewers.

Asking a question at the end of your interview will allow you to show interest and lead to additional insight.
