How to Obtain an Official Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
The steps outlined below will assist you in registering for a BLS class and obtaining your BLS certification.
Step One:
Visit the American Heart Association website to search for BLS certification classes in your area.
Step Two:
Enter your city or zip code into the search box.
Step Three:
Make sure Select Classes is checked beneath the search bar and click on Filter your search to expand the search options. Next to Course Name, click on Select course(s) and check BLS Provider in the drop down menu. Hit Submit.
Step Four:
In the search results, look for an available class that fits your schedule and click on the Details button to view more details and Reserve your seat for your BLS certification.

Both the online and hands-on BLS course options must be completed before starting Module 140.
